About Us

We are an eclectic group with one love in common—our fascination with the culture, preparation and origination of food. Share your ideas, thoughts and recipes with us. Tell us about your love of food.

Amy Mug

Amy Carmosino resides in Dublin, NH and is employed as a freelance web editor and graphic designer. In her former life she was also a copy editor and writer for a large newspaper chain. She's also a big fan of food! Know of any special diners in the area? Amy can be reached at: acarmosino@hotmail.com.

Maureen Mug

Maureen Costello likes adventure, whether it’s a food choice or parachuting from an airplane. Maureen has a taste for fine wine, good coffee and above average tea. The former CNC Special Sections editor and Boston Globe writer has judged pie contests, reviewed restaurants and penned more than a few food-related stories. Maureen can be reached at: mcb23@verizon.net.

Denise Mug

Denise Dubé’s love of food came from the culinary specialties of her French and Italian heritage. She has a passion for fresh crisp vegetables and fruit, the aroma of good coffee, the smell of exotic spices, the taste of fine tea, white wine and a home-cooked or elegantly prepared meal. She writes features and food articles for national magazines and, when she has time, for the Boston Globe. Denise can be reached at: globalfoodie@cs.com.

Keith Mug
Keith Kellett is Globalfoodie correspondent from the UK. Having written as a hobby for many years while serving in the Royal Air Force, he saw no reason to stop after he retired. He produced more work, and found, to his surprise, it grew and that he was good enough to finance his other hobbies, which include traveling, food and drink, photography, and computers. Kellett has been published in many UK and overseas print magazines and on the Web. He can be reached at: keith-kellett@tinyworld.co.uk.

Judy Mug

Judith Kirkwood loves fine wine, great food and dining in style. Just don’t her ask for any recipes. This creative “foodie” knows the best places to find gourmet food already made or ready to hit the oven. She writes for Executive Traveler and inflight magazines. Her work has also appeared in National Geographic Traveler and Country Living. She can be reached at: judykirkwood@cs.com.

Daniel Mug

Daniel LaGarde, the head chef at Hilton Hawaiian Village, is the consummate “foodie” and one of the world’s best chefs—with a great disposition to match. Although he was born and raised in Montreal, he is happy to call Hawaii home and does not miss the snow or cold. He can be reached at: Daniel_lagarde@hilton.com.

Stephanie Mug

Stephanie Oswald is a globetrotter who toured the world sans child for several decades as travel correspondent for CNN, and hurricane reporter for The Weather Channel. She is currently racking up frequent flyer miles as the editor-in-chief of travelgirl magazine, a publication she co-founded in 2002. When it launched in summer 2003, travelgirl was named one of the top publications of the year by Mr. Magazine. Find out more at www.travelgirlinc.com.

Nancy Mug

Nancy Stern lives in Colorado and is a talented artist who also writes an afternoon tea column for a local women’s newspaper. She holds regular workshops where she teaches tea lovers the fine art of serving. She can be reached at: travelwriter01@comcast.net.

Ron Mug
Ron Stern jumped head first into travelwriting and photojournalism and became a columist and photographer for several news syndicates, including the San Diego Community Newsgroup and the Women's Newspaper Group. Stern, who has authored various books, has been published in Shape, Mobil Travel Guides, La Jolla Today, Voyaging and various others. He is also the editor-in-chief of JustSayGo.com, an online travel e-zine. His love of travel has led to speaking and teaching opportunities in the Colorado area. Stern can be reached at: travelwriter01@comcast.net.

Veronica Mug

Veronica Stern has had a fascination with decorated cakes and desserts since childhood. She has trained and worked as a professional cake decorator for local bakeries and creates Sweet Confections for her own cake business. Veronica has passed her love of making and decorating cakes to everyone—and will continue doing the same for her readers in the coming months. She loves to experiment and shares her creations with friends and family. She can be reached at: sapphireocean21@juno.com.

Elaine Mug

Elaine Timmons is a foodie and self taught chef from Westchester County, New York. After many years of food service related jobs and private catering, Elaine was the chef and owner for the Weathervane Inn in West Dover, Vermont until she sold it in 2004. Now she caters and creates culinary feasts, as well as "English Teas" for her friends. She can be reached at: e.timmons@earthlink.net.

Roberta Mug

Roberta Wolman, a high school English teacher with multiple degrees in education, has authored school textbooks and taught students the fine art of the English language. This dedicated "foodie" from Massachusetts has a life-long passion for food and the written word. Like other food fanatics, cookbooks and culinary magazines spill over her bedside bookshelf. When traveling, Wolman, like most "foodies," visits and inspects farm stands, grocery stories and dining establishments to find the cultural soul of the spot. She can be reached at: readingtreats@hotmail.com.
